Client Spotlight: Practice Orbit

You already know that Andromeda is a software consulting company with our own products such as FlexePark, Ignition, and Lore Link. But we also provide product development solutions for other companies and startups. One of our specialties is to build MVPs (Minimum Viable Products) for startups, and since 2021 we have been working closely with Practice Orbit, helping them build out their new platform.

Practice Orbit is creating a centralized option for dentists, dental brokers, and their service providers (CPAs, attorneys, bankers, etc.) to sell their dental practices. Similar to how Airbnb brings together its users, Practice Orbit is bringing together sellers and buyers through its online ecosystem of dentists who have created free Practice Orbit accounts.

Additionally, Practice Orbit gives them tools to facilitate a smooth transition. Practice Orbit does this by (1) providing sellers with a price estimator to value and list their practice and (2) introducing dentists to experienced dental attorneys, accountants, banks and brokers (if needed) to help them through the transition (if they don’t already have these service providers).

Andromeda has been involved since the beginning, building a reliable, scalable technology platform that facilitates 6-7 figure transactions, managing complex interactions in a secure and accessible way for both Practice Orbit and all of their customers and users.

We started with a very careful discovery process to design a minimum viable feature that could be launched along with a website, and helped with design, branding, and then built and launched the Orbit Estimate feature that provides an estimated value for a dental practice. From there we stood by the client through multiple small pivots and enhancements, adding features and expanding the capabilities of the system over time. We understand the process of searching for product-market fit and intentionally design for flexibility where possible, to keep costs low and adaptability high.

Over the last 4 years we’ve adapted the exact composition of the team that works with Practice Orbit based upon the specific needs and the product and company lifecycle. One big advantage of working with an agency like Andromeda is that you get depth and breadth of expertise without the fixed overhead of your own product development, QA, product management, and operations teams.
