While there, they finally got to meet with client Wes Read, CEO of Practice CFO and PracticeOrbit for the first time, after years of working together remotely. They also finally met Phil Nash, the technical reviewer for their book Architecting CSS. As much as we love remote work and continue to prove how successful it can be, it’s still great to meet people in person whenever possible.

For the welcome reception, they enjoyed a delicious meal at Barbarella Restaurant and Bar, where they got to meet all the other speakers, sponsors, and organizers, after which they walked to La Jolla Shores Beach for a moonlight stroll.

While in San Diego Martine and Michael enjoyed the beautiful weather, catching up with colleagues, sunny walks, and excellent food.
