Gen Con 2024 occurred from August 1st through the 4th in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Andromeda Galactic’s Lore Link team was there.

Billed as the “best four days in gaming,” Gen Con has been running since the late ‘60s, and has been in Indianapolis since 2003. This year’s event drew a sold-out crowd of over 71,000 attendees, and the team did their best to speak to every one of them.

As part of the local Maker’s Market, Lore Link was located on the bottom level of Lucas Oil Stadium, across from True Dungeon. While there, the team spoke to attendees about our new tabletop role-playing game campaign management software and how it could make it easier to run their games.

When I say “new,” that’s because Lore Link is now live! On August 1st, the convention's first day, we went live with the software's basic, free “World” tier. This free level gives basic access to Lore Link, including one user, two campaigns, and access to many current features. Over the next few weeks, the intent is to open up the paid tiers of Galaxy, Universe, and Multiverse.

Despite some issues, the Lore Link team had a great time handing out Gamemaster badge ribbons, talking with attendees about Lore Link, and enjoying the con. Games were played, panels were attended, games were run, and many dice and sourcebooks were purchased.

In 2025, the Lore Link team is looking to do more conventions. Keep an eye on the Lore Link social media accounts (Facebook, BlueSky) or sign up for their newsletter to stay informed!
