Andromeda CTO Martine Dowden spoke on the No Dogma Podcast on March 8th, 2022 with host Bryan Hogan. While there, she discussed what makes a website accessible, and where to start when building your own website. Bryan Hogan is a software architect, blogger, Microsoft MVP in developer technologies, and Pluralsight author. His podcast covers a wide range of topics including mental health, and technology such as .NET, Linux, and C#.
Focusing on web interfaces that are beautiful, functional, accessible, and usable, Martine Dowden approaches the User Experience from both Art and Science angles, drawing from her degrees in Psychology and Visual Communications. She has worked as an artist, educator, and consultant since 2005. She stays active in the industry by writing articles, leading workshops, and attending and speaking at conferences and meetups worldwide. In 2015 she published a children's book, Programming Languages ABC++, and in 2016 the Workbook Edition sold over 20,000 copies. She then went on to write Approachable Accessibility: Planning for Success, which was released in June 2019 and Architecting CSS: The Programmer’s Guide to Effective Stylesheets in 2020.
