Martine Dowden and Michael Dowden Host a Training Workshop on Accessibility
Participants will learn accessibility principles as well as the importance and impact of accessibility

Andromeda Galactic Founders Martine Dowden and Michael Dowden will host an online training workshop on accessibility from 1:00 - 3:00 pm (EDT) on July 11, 2022. The training will cost $247 per seat, with a limited supply of early bird tickets available at $197 until June 30.

This training program is for those interested in learning how to get started with web accessibility, and will include hands-on exercises. When participants sign up for this event, they will join Martine and Michael for a 2-hour online seminar, where they will present content along with interactive exercises the group will work through together. These exercises will include working on a sample web application, and identifying and fixing accessibility issues along the way. Once the online group portion is complete, participants will be given a project, where they will spend two to four hours evaluating the accessibility of their own websites or web applications. Their findings will be due a week later, and the instructors will provide personalized feedback. In addition, participants will be able to schedule a thirty-minute one-on-one session with an instructor to address any additional questions that may have arisen and to receive individual support.
