FlexePark Starts Using NFC Stickers at Select Lots
FlexePark Adds NFC Stickers to Lots in Bloomington and Broad Ripple
FlexePark, an Indy-based shared parking web app, has made it easier to check in and pay in many lots around Bloomington and Broad Ripple.
FlexePark has added NFC (Near-field Communication) stickers on their signs at many of their locations including lots 7620, 4093, and 6529 on Mass Ave. in Indianapolis, 4961, 9869, 8462, 1232, and 1605 in Broad Ripple, and 2691 in Bloomington. To use the NFC Sticker, all the user has to do is tap the back of their phone to the sticker, and it will automatically pull up the FlexePark website, with the corresponding lot. In addition to the NFC stickers, drivers can also scan a QR code found on a FlexePark sign and securely pay a flat parking fee from their mobile device.
FlexePark was developed by Andromeda Galactic Solutions to address the lack of public parking options in metro areas. Through FlexePark, local businesses — many of which are emerging from a closed economy — generate extra income by making their unused parking available to the community, usually after business hours. FlexePark and its patent-pending technology has been recognized as a finalist for the 2020 & 2019 Parking Today Awards, 2020 & 2019 TechPoint Mira Awards, and 2019 Leading City AcceliCITY Awards.
