Andromeda Galactic Founder Gives Presentation at the 2021 Firebase Summit
Michael Dowden gives his talk, “Implementing Authorization Models in Firebase.”

Andromeda Galactic founder and CEO Michael Dowden has been chosen to be part of a group of Google Developer Experts to give Community Talks at this year’s Firebase Summit.

His talk, Implementing Authorization Models in Firebase, talks about authentication and authorization when securing a database, and how Firebase provides support for both. The talk covered how to use two standard authorization models, ACL (Access Control List), and RBAC (Role-Based Access Control). He also covered how to enforce and manage authorization using database rules and cloud functions.

Michael is an international keynote speaker and is the CEO of Andromeda Galactic Solutions, President of FlexePark, and CTO of Catipult.ai. As a leader with almost 30 years in the technology industry, he has worked alongside more than 100 companies to build human-centered solutions. Michael is a Google Developer Expert and Microsoft MVP, and is the author of Programming Languages ABC++, Approachable Accessibility, and Architecting CSS.
