Andromeda Co-founder Speaking at Serverless Architecture Conference
Michael Dowden will be presenting both talks and workshops in Berlin
From October 16th through the 18th, Andromeda co-founder Michael Dowden will be in Berlin for the Serverless Architecture Conference. While in attendance, he will be very busy. Not only is he on the advisory board, but he will also be giving two talks (Designing a Serverless App and Go Live: Releasing software to your users) and he’ll be part of an Advanced Serverless Workshop, presenting *Designing Serverless Solutions. *
The Advanced Serverless Workshop will run from 09:00 - 17:00 on Monday. During this workshop, attendees can expect to learn new approaches about design patterns, hear stories from the trenches about what worked (and what didn’t), gain perspective on aspects such as cost, performance, scalability, and resilience, see examples covering AWS Lambda, Azure Function, and Google Functions, and learn different approaches to testing and validating Serverless functions.
Michael’s second talk, Designing a Serverless App will run from 11:30 - 12:15 on Tuesday. This talk will build on 7 years of experience building and maintaining serverless solutions to walk through the ground-up design of a brand-new serverless application. Michael will discuss common questions and concerns including data architecture, security, cost, and maintainability.
For his last talk on Wednesday from 14:30 - 15:15, titled Go Live: Releasing Software to Your Users, Michael will break down some of the objectives of a release along with the corresponding product and business activities, as well as how you can leverage DevOps to support them. He will also discuss the importance of UX and how your approach to releases can impact your users.
The Serverless Architecture Conference is three days with more than 30 sessions, hands-on workshops, and keynotes. It gives attendees the opportunity to listen to expert speakers from leading tech companies around the world, network with top serverless thinkers, makers, and leaders, and learn about the latest technologies and tools for security, monitoring, data management, and more.
